ENDIAMA’s Technical-Vocational Training Center recently won international certification, with the implementation of ISOS standards, namely 9001, 14001 and 45001, which could increase the competitiveness, credibility, efficiency and quality of the services provided, said in Luanda the general director of the institution dedicated to training technicians for the mining industry, Lufianlisso António.

During an interview with Sala de Imprensa, he also said that CEFOPE will be able to count on mining simulators for practical classes from the first quarter of next year.

“Next year we hope to change the dynamics of the institution by starting to use simulators for heavy machinery, which will be a great boost for the mining sector, especially in preparing operators who already work in the mines, and we hope to have them by February 2025,” he said.

As for the training process, Lufianlisso António said that since its creation, CEFOPE has trained around 428 technicians in the most diverse courses available at the center, stressing that in addition to these one-year courses, the institution also has other short-term training courses.

Lufianlisso concluded that the fourth and fifth training cycles, which opened last October with more than one hundred and fifty trainees, are currently underway and will close in March and November next year respectively.
