Luanda, 15 January – The President of ENDIAMA-E.P, Ganga Júnior, announced the results for Angola’s diamond sector in 2024, revealing that the country produced 13.96 million carats of diamonds, generating a revenue of 1.49 billion USD.

Speaking at a press conference, Ganga Júnior highlighted key achievements for the year and unveiled the company’s ambitious targets for 2025, reinforcing ENDIAMA’s pivotal role in driving Angola’s economic growth and diversification.

Among the highlights, Ganga Júnior emphasised the establishment of new mining and non-mining entities designed to expand ENDIAMA’s footprint and diversify its operations. These initiatives aim to strengthen Angola’s position in the global diamond market while contributing to local development.

A notable achievement is the creation of ENDIAGRO, a groundbreaking project focused on agribusiness in Angola’s eastern region, which aims to foster economic resilience and sustainable development.

Additionally, ENDIAMA consolidated the Xamacanda and Luachimba Mining Societies, both wholly owned by the company, to reinforce its mining portfolio and ensure full operational control.

Other achievements include the establishment of the Angola Diamond Laboratory and the launch of the diamond polishing factory Robust Diam.

Looking ahead to 2025, ENDIAMA has set an ambitious target of producing 14.8 million carats of diamonds, supported by a focus on innovation, sustainability, and long-term economic impact.

These accomplishments underscore ENDIAMA’s dynamic strategy to elevate Angola’s mining sector while promoting initiatives that drive diversification and local development.
