0

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Angola, Stéphane Doppagne, visited the Luele mine and various social infrastructure projects on Wednesday 17th, which were built as part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of mining companies operating in the east of the country.

The visit was organised by the management of ENDIAMA-E.P., as part of efforts to strengthen economic cooperation, with particular emphasis on the diamond sub-sector.

The Angolan National Diamond Company regards this as an opportunity to showcase its social projects, its practices in environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility, as well as the prospects for growth and expansion of mining activity in the region.

The itinerary for the Belgian diplomat’s visit to Lunda Sul included the Saurimo Diamond Development Hub, ENDIAMA’s Technical and Vocational Training Centre (CEFOLAD), the Kild Kothari Diamond Cutting Factory, the School Meals Factory, the Saurimo Higher Polytechnic Institute, and the 300 Houses Housing Project in Luele.
