As part of their monitoring of ongoing corporate social responsibility projects, members of the Board of Directors of ENDIAMA E.P. carried out an inspection visit on Tuesday to two school construction sites in Luanda province that are being funded by the company.
The first stop was at School Complex No. 9037 in Futungo, in the Futungo neighbourhood, where renovation and extension work is underway. The school’s capacity will be doubled, increasing from 12 to 27 classrooms. Once the work is complete, the school will have the capacity to accommodate around 2,000 pupils, providing better teaching and learning conditions and helping to ease the pressure on the local school network.
The delegation then travelled to the Morro Bento neighbourhood to monitor progress on the construction of a brand-new school comprising 12 classrooms. The project represents a significant boost to educational provision in that community, enabling more children and young people to have access to quality education in modern and suitable facilities.
During the visit, the members of the Board of Directors were briefed on the physical progress of the works, assessed the quality of the work in progress and received technical explanations from the teams responsible for carrying out the works, reiterating the importance of meeting deadlines and adhering to the established quality standards.
The funding for this infrastructure forms part of ENDIAMA’s social responsibility policy, under which the company continues to invest in key projects in the areas of education, health and community development, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the well-being of the population and the sustainable development of Angola.
