Elton Escrivão, Commercial Director at ENDIAMA-E.P, has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Natural Diamond Council, an organisation dedicated to promoting and protecting the integrity of the natural diamond industry worldwide.

Renamed in 2020, the NDC acts as the authoritative voice for natural diamonds, inspiring and educating consumers through compelling stories about their rarity, positive impact and emotional value.

Elton Escrivão serves on the Natural Diamond Council’s Board, representing the Angolan state-owned diamond company, where he leads diamond marketing, commercial strategy and the development of an integrated diamond and jewellery value chain.

Since 2019, he has held key roles within the company, including legal adviser in the Commercial Division and Director of Commercial Relations, before becoming Director of Marketing in August 2023.

In this role, he oversees all aspects of diamond sales, pricing, customer relations and market access, whilst driving ENDIAMA’s ambition to move further downstream into local diamond cutting and jewellery manufacturing.

He holds a law degree and a postgraduate qualification in Business Management, with additional certifications in diamond grading, mining law, corporate governance and contract management.

As a member of the Angolan Bar Association, his experience combines legal rigour, commercial strategy and in-depth knowledge of the diamond markets, making him a leading voice in the diamond sector.
