Nine companies of the Angolan diamond sub-sector will be participating in the MINING INDABA International Conference from May 9th to 12th, in Cape Town, South Africa – with the aim of attracting investments to the diamond subsector which includes projects such as Chitonga and Mucuamba and for identifying and establishing partnerships with international service providers.
‘Angola’s Diamond Potential’ – a joint participation model that includes the public companies ENDIAMA and SODIAM, the diamond Mining Societies of Catoca, Cuango, Chitotolo, Uari, Yetwene and Furi, as well as Kapu Gems, specialized in diamond cutting, is the concept adopted for the 2022 edition.
Business opportunities and the country’s geological potential will be presented on the panel discussion titled: “Angola: the Destination of Choice for Mining Investment” on the Angola Day during the event.
Mining Indaba is the world’s largest African mining investment event and will be attended by the Presidents of the Republic of South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, H.E.Mr.Cyril Ramaphosa, H.E.Mr.Mokgweetsi Masisi, H.E.Mr.Hakainde Hichilema and H.E.Mr.Emmerson Mnangagwa, respectively.
The Republic of Angola will be represented by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas – H.E.Dr.Diamantino Pedro Azevedo.
