Angola took another significant step in the race for the African Nations Championship – CAN Morocco 2025 by beating Niger by two goals to nil on Friday 11, in a match played at the 11 de Novembro stadium.
It was a victory with a double flavor, as the match also served to raise the flag for social inclusion in the country, through the involvement of children with albinism in the group of flag bearers and ball catchers. This was an initiative of the Brilhante Foundation in partnership with the Melba Care brand and the Angolan Football Federation.
Since June, the Social Face of the Diamond Subsector has been carrying out a Program for the Social Inclusion of People with Albinism in close collaboration with the provincial governments and Delegations of Justice and Human Rights, through integrated mass campaigns for specialist consultations, counselling, birth registration and the granting of identity cards, and the supply of products for moisturizing and sun protection of the skin for people with albinism.
The protection of people with albinism is a concern of the Angolan Executive, expressed in Presidential Decree 193/23, of October 9, which created the Action and Protection Plan for People with Albinism – PAPPA.
