Diamonds: Angola and Botswana seek cooperation

The Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo said today (9) in Cape Town that the Republics of Angola and Botswana addressed the need to cooperate in the diamond subsector.

According to the minister, the intention of the two countries was expressed during a meeting with the Tswanian President, Mokgweetsi Masisi.

In an interview given to the press during the Mining conference, Indaba Diamantino Azevedo considered that the Angolan diamond subsector “is well on its way”, reiterating that Angolan participation in INDABA serves to promote the Angolan mining sector in general.

The work schedule, he said, will be intense until the end of the event.
