Furi Mining Company aims to reach a production target of around 24,000 carats of diamonds by 2025, said the deputy director of Mining Operations, Eduardo Dico, on the occasion of the celebration of April 27, Mining Workers’ Day.
The mine which opened in 2021, and whose concession area is located in the municipalities of Cambulo and Chitato, in the province of Lunda Norte, currently produces around 14,000 carats of diamonds per month, and has a workforce of 772 national workers and four expatriates.
In terms of social responsibility, a 12-classroom school, four classrooms attached to the Calumbia School Complex, the distribution of drinking water, electricity and residences for local authorities are some of the actions carried out by Furi Mining Company.
