Sagrada Esperança Clinic held its 1st Pediatrics Workshop this Saturday in Luanda, under the slogan “Exploring Pediatrics: From Prevention to Cure”.
The event, which brought together national and international specialists in this area of health, aimed to share knowledge and experiences with a view to reducing child mortality in Angola.
On the occasion, the head of the Pediatrics Department at CSE, Liliana Cassule, recalled that children represent the population with the highest mortality rate in the country, which makes pediatrics an area that should deserve special attention from society and all health professionals.
She also spoke of Clínica Sagrada Esperança’s commitment to pediatrics, which involves not only treating illnesses, but also promoting health, preventing illnesses and providing comprehensive care for children.
“We are here not just as professionals, but as agents of transformation in the lives of those who trust us for their well-being,” she said.
For his part, the clinical director of the CSE, Esmael Tomás, said that the Clínica Sagrada Esperança could reach all the provinces of the country by the end of next year, with the specialties and subspecialties it offers in a permanent 24-hour service.
It should be remembered that this clinic, which belongs to the ENDIAMA Group, began operating in December 1990 and is currently the largest private health network in the country, with the exception of the provinces of Malanje and Cuanza Norte.
