Mining Indaba: Angola promotes minerals for energy transition

Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, said today in Cape Town that Angola has a high mining potential that can help in the process of energy transition.

Diamantino Azevedo was speaking during the opening of the Mining Indaba international conference, which is being held from 6 to 9 February, in South Africa, under the slogan “unlock the future of mining in Africa”.

The minister also made known that the objectives of Angola’s participation in the event are essentially to promote its mineral resources; attracting more investors, and he has assured that Angola has a good geological infrastructure to receive any mining company.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is reserved for the presentation of the Angolan mining potential, with concrete examples of activities developed in the country.

The Mining Indaba is considered the largest African event of investments in the mining sector, which takes place annually in the South African republic.
