Angola is taking part from February 3 to 6 in Cape Town, South Africa, in the 31st International Mining Conference and Exhibition “Mining Indaba 2025”, which aims to discuss technological advances, sustainable practices and investments in the mining sector.
The Angolan delegation to Africa’s largest investment event in the mining sector, led by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, includes more than 40 members, including senior officials from this ministerial department, as well as mining and non-mining companies operating in the country.
The executive director of ENDIAMA-E.P and spokesperson for the Angolan delegation to the event, said at a press conference on Thursday at MIREMPET headquarters that “Mining Indaba 2025” will be held under the slogan “Future-proof African mining, today!”, and will bring together mining professionals, investors and industry leaders and also serve as a privileged meeting point for networking, negotiating and sharing the experience of operators in mining projects, with a view to establishing possible partnerships.
On the occasion, the national director for Mineral Resources, Paulo Tanganha, said that day 4 had been set aside as Angola’s day at the event, and would be marked by a business forum under the slogan “Angola: The Time for Mining Investment is Now!”, to be led by the Minister for Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo.
