The general director of Caungula boarding school, Marciano Chipilica, said this week that the institution now is opened to receive children from almost all provinces of the country, but he calls for the collaboration of local entities to sort out some basic problems that the boarding school faces.

The boarding school located in Lunda Norte province was established in 2010, in a context of need for students who live in the villages of the interior of the municipality of Caungula, but after rehabilitated and expanded in April 2021, with the sponsorship of ENDIAMA, the school which belongs to the Catholic Mission has been receiving requests from many parts of the country, according to the missionary.

One of the admission criterias for students to get into the boarding school, whose mission is to help in the education and training of children from poor families is that they have to get between 11 and 14 years old, he said.

The responsible also informed that the school which has now twelve classrooms, has more than one thousand and five hundred external students enrolled and about thirty in the boarding school regime for the 2022 school year.
