Minister Diamantino Azevedo inaugurated, Friday, February 24, in Lunda Sul province, a primary school and first Cycle of Secondary Education No. 132 “Mucono Mucuachilamba”, located at Terra Nova neighborhood, Saurimo municipality.

With 12 classrooms, the educational institution has a capacity to accommodate 1080 students in both periods (morning and afternoon) and was built with funding from SODIAM-E.P., valued at over 800 million kwanzas.

The school also has a multipurpose field for the practice of school sports, a library, a computer room, canteen and other administrative support divisions.

The inauguration was also witnessed by the minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, who spoke to the press, expressing her gratitude for the support she has been receiving from the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, through the social responsibility component of the mining companies.

Luísa Grilo asked for the students and the community in general, to take care of the infrastructure, so that it can also serve future generations with the conditions that it has, in order to make it “a school of reference”.
