The progress made in Angola’s Mineral Resources sector since 2018 was presented this Friday, the 11th, at an information event “Angola: Raw Materials and Mining”, in Frankfurt, Germany.
Among the data presented, the MIREMPET delegation that took part in the event, made up of the National Director of Mineral Resources, Paulo Tanganha, ANRM’s PCA, Jacinto Rocha, and ENDIAMA’s Executive Director, Laureano Paulo, accompanied by Angola’s Ambassador to Germany, Balbina da Silva, highlighted the institutional and regulatory reforms, the improvement of geoscientific information, the support services for geological-mining activities and the main prospecting and national mining development projects.
In the field of technical discussions, Paulo Tanganha said that “there is a need for greater investment in projects at an advanced stage of prospecting and in the mining development phase, as well as in improving transport and electricity distribution infrastructures to mining areas”, also including road, rail and maritime transport, telecommunication and functional, low-cost technologies for ore processing and promoting the diversification of production and operationalization and more small and medium-scale mining projects.
The event was organized by the Delegation of the German Economy in Angola and its partners Afrika-Verein (German-African Business Association) and the Association of Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers (VDMA-Mining).
