ENDIAMA evaluates proposal to install simulators for mining operations

0

The director of Studies and Projects of ENDIAMA revealed, Monday 10th of April, in Luanda, that Angolan Diamond Company is evaluating a proposal to install, in the near future, simulators for training of mining operators at the Professional Training  Center of ENDIAMA, based in Saurimo, Lunda Sul.

Ady Van-Dúnem assured that the equipment allows technicians who will operate an excavator or a bulldozer to experience a reality closer to the working environment observed in a particular mine.

“It is true that a technician who operates these types of equipment must be trained. But it is not safe indeed that he trains on the machine itself because he doesn’t know it well and can damage it, despite having an instructor by his side, which can also be more expensive, which is why we are studying a proposal to reverse this situation,” he said.

The Direction of Studies and Projects of  ENDIAMA is multidisciplinary and is focused on the challenges of geosciences, analysis, research and statistical processing.
