Chissema, a new Mining Society inaugurated on April 26^th, in the locality of Capenda Camulemba, has the capacity to produce 15 thousand carats of diamonds/month, revealed the company’s General Manager, Hadijami de Almeida.

The project covers a 1,019 km2 production area and made a 23 million American Dollars investment.

The Chissema SM is committed in contributing to social responsibility actions and plans to employ 1,100 young local people.

Additionally, to the school that has been handed over to the municipality, the company plans to build water fountains for the neighboring communities.

The geologist Fábio Giela considers the Chissema concession area as still virgin needing a great amount of geological work.

On the other hand, Mário Milongo, in the metalworking section, who just got his first job, admits being satisfied and says that his life is improving.
