ENDIAMA-Funded University Campus Inaugurated

Today, the 14th, the Lueji A’nkonde University Campus was inaugurated in the province of Lunda-Norte.

This is an investment of more than 69 million US dollars by ENDIAMA, with the ceremony presided over by the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço.

The campus comprises two faculties (Law and Economics ) with a total of 87 classrooms: 47 for the Faculty of Economics and 40 for the Faculty of Law. It has the capacity to accommodate 2,906 students in each of the three daily shifts, bringing the total capacity to over 8,000 students.

Among its notable facilities are a modern auditorium with 320 seats; three simulated courtrooms in the Faculty of Law; ten practical workrooms in the Faculty of Economics; an infirmary in the Faculty of Law; two computer rooms; a library with seating for 30; a cafeteria with capacity for 300 people; two sports courts; an internal parking lot with 400 spaces, 18 of which are reserved for persons with reduced mobility; and an external parking lot with 33 spaces.

Regarding the workforce, the construction of the campus involved 715 workers (including subcontractors), 458 local workers, 247 non-local national workers, and 10 expatriates.

According to the Minister of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, this initiative reflects the government’s strategic commitment to education as a driver of sustainable development and a demonstration of the sector’s dedication to social transformation.

In the same vein, the Chairman of ENDIAMA’s Board of Directors, Ganga Júnior, emphasized that the company’s goal is to transform people’s lives for the benefit of all.
