Lueji A’Nkonde University hosted, Wednesday, at the Polytechnic Higher Institute of Lunda Sul, the launching of the book “Atlas of Diamonds in Angola”, a scientific work which addresses among other topics, the methods of research of diamond crystals and its physical characteristics, as well as its morphological classification.
José Manuel Ganga Júnior, one of the subscribers of the book, said it is a scientific collection, resulting from a practical activity.
The president of the board of ENDIAMA-E.P., also said that the book, with 189 pages, is an essay that aims to awaken in students, teachers and other professionals of the diamonds subsector the interest for research.
The vice-chancellor of the Lueji A’Nkonde University, Alfredo Armando Manuel, said on the occasion that the teaching of mining engineering in Angola has been producing very good results, and considers the referred work as a must-read material.
And the student of mining exploration course, Tetson António, said that “Atlas of Diamonds in Angola” brings a wealth of content that helps to understand the ins and outs of his training area.
Benedito Paulo Manuel, João Tunga Félix and Vladimir Nikolaevich are also subscribers of the book “Atlas of Diamonds in Angola”.
