The general manager of Kaixepa Mining Society, Gordon Cormack, said recently that in two years of operations the company had invested US$16 million in buying material for drilling the kimberlite and installing new washing facilities and a further US$28 million in acquiring earth moving equipment, totalling US$44 million.
Gordon Cormack justifies this investment with the need of the company to maintain its normal operation and increase its production levels.
The president of the management board of KMS, also spoke about the other challenges of that mining company focused on the training of young Angolans for their insertion in the labor market.
Gordon Cormack also referred about the social and environmental responsibilities projects of Kaixepa for the communities located near the diamond mining area.
