ENDIAMA participated in the 1st Business Forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry “Angola – United Arab Emirates” that took place in Luanda from 28 to November 30.
The meeting was opened by the Minister of Planning and Economy, Mário Augusto Caetano João, who was representing the Angolan Head of State, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.
Mário Caetano João underlined that it is the will of the Chief of the Executive that the country should bet in strong partnerships for its industrialization and become one of the biggest food producers of the African continent.
“But for this to happen, it is necessary a great investment in the diversification of the economy with emphasis on education, health, employment, entrepreneurship, social infrastructure, the involvement of the oil and mining sectors, without disassociating the human capital that will be the mentor of this desideratum,” he added.
Kaledi Al Ali, representative of the UAE, said that Dubai Chamber of Commerce, dating back to 1965, has undergone major updates in the dynamics of the world, putting the person at the center of attention and since Angola appears in this partnership with the investment priority in the human capital we can consider that Angola has found the “key to success”.
“This partnership will have a reciprocal gain, it will deserve our support based on government institutions. We will work and support the man who is our biggest interest,” he stressed.
The Angola- UAE commercial and industrial partnership is sustainable and it has an investment turnover of US$ 2 billion.
