ENDIAMA organised a conference on diamond mining- from discovery to recovery.

Speaking to the press, executive director Laureano Paulo said that the event aimed to analyse current trends in the global diamond market, highlighting Angola’s growth potential and promoting an in-depth understanding of diamond resources.

Under the slogan ‘Integrating knowledge throughout the diamond production chain’, the conference brought together national and international experts.

The experts discussed the geological characteristics of primary and secondary deposits, advances in mapping, grade control, sampling, volume, shape and frequency distribution by size.

According to the organisation, the meeting generated practical recommendations in line with the country’s economic diversification plans and international standards of transparency and sustainability.
