ENDIAMA held a ceremony to launch full scholarships for the children of former workers assigned to five paralyzed mining projects, namely Lucapa, Luxinge, Luarica, SML and Yetwene.
The event took place in the amphitheater of ENDIAMA’s Technical-Vocational Training Centre and was attended by senior officials from the provincial governments of Lunda-Norte and Lunda-Sul.
The director general of CEFOPE, Lufianlisso António, said that this is a challenging phase in the lives of the trainees, guaranteeing that all the training, logistical and social conditions have been taken care of for the scholarship holders, calling for their commitment and good use.
Mendes Gaspar, deputy governor of Lunda-Sul, said that the moment represented a commitment to the development of national talent.
For her part, Ana Maria Feijó, executive director of ENDIAMA, welcomed the opening of this cycle, a moment she described as “historic and the corollary of a long negotiation process between the parties”.
