Martin Rapaport, CEO of the group that bears his name (RAPAPORT), this Thursday in Luanda praised the way Angolan companies in the diamond sub-sector have developed social responsibility projects with communities in mining areas.
Martin was speaking during a presentation on the current state of the diamond industry and the prospects for the sector’s future.
“Yesterday we were in Catoca, we looked at the schools and other social infrastructures that you have built and we saw that you are doing a good job, but we need to publicise the added value of diamonds to the communities, people should know what we are doing,” he said.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, and various players in the Angolan diamond industry, and served to share strategies and joint reflection on the challenges and opportunities of the global market.
